Plaque on the ground

Our memorial is mounted on a flat stone base on the ground (in the lawn), as it is about a time we do not want to look up to. Everybody who looks at the memorial can immediately see that they are standing right in front of the place where everything happened because of the silhouette of the castle. The plaque has got a 3D-structure, as the main dates are written on a raised level, whereas the poem is set into the plaque. Thus the important main dates stand in the foreground, the poem is somewhat in the background, but people will notice it separately. The memorial is framed by barbed wire (real or engraved) and symbolizes the view the internees in the castle had.
